Point System - EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2016
1. Year End Awards: Members accumulating points for year end awards must show in at least three shows for their final points to count.
2. It will be the responsibility of the exhibitors to fill out the show report form and return a copy to the designated club officer within two weeks of the show.
3. Points will be awarded 1st through 3rd place. Points are calculated based on the following system regardless of number of entries in the class.
POINT SYSTEM
1st place = 3 points
2nd place = 2 points
3rd place = 1 point
ADDITIONAL POINTS:
Best of Variety = 2 points
Reserve Of Variety = 1 point
Best Of Breed = 2 points
Reserve of Breed = 1 point
Champion AOSB or AOCCL = 2 points
Reserve AOSB or AOCCL = 1 point
Champion Large Fowl or Champion Bantam - 2 points
Rserve Champion Bantam or Rserve Champion Large Fowl - 1 point
Show Champion - 2 points
Reserve Show Champion - 1 point
Example1: A black large fowl hen winning her class (3 points), plus Best of Variety (2 points), plus Best of Breed (2 pts), plus Reserve AOSB, (1 points) would earn a total of 8 points in the division: Large Fowl 'Black hens' in that one show.
Example2: A BB Red large fowl cockerel winning his class (3 points), plus Reserve of Variety, plus Reserve of Breed (1 points), would earn a total of 5 points in the division: Large Fowl 'BB Red cockerels' in that one show.
Example3: A GDW bantam cockerel placing 2nd in his class his class (2 points), and no higher would earn a total of 2 points in the division: Bantam 'GDW cockerels' in that one show.
4.Awards in Large Fowl and Bantam Divisions will be offered with all APA/ABA approved varieties in cocks, cockerels, hens, and pullets.
5. An AOV division will offer 8 awards:

Champion AOV large fowl cock
Champion AOV bantam cockerel
Champion AOV bantam cock
Champion AOV large fowl hen
Champion AOV large fowl pullet
Champion AOV bantam hen
Champion AOV bantam pullet
6: Standings will be updated monthly or as shows occur and posted at the ABEC website. To earn points toward year end awards all exhibitors must be current ABEC members.
7. Cut off date for earning show points will be December 31st of each year.
8. Points are based on the membership name of the exhibitor.
